Introduce yourself! 👋

Hello everyone!

My name is Christophe HAMISI, and I am Congolese (DRC) and the head of the Bitcoin Academy at BridgeSat. I’m truly excited to join this network and to collaborate with such a passionate community.

My current research focuses on how Bitcoin can be an invaluable asset to strengthen and accelerate intra-African trade, by lowering barriers, fostering financial inclusion, and creating new opportunities across borders.

I look forward to learning from you, sharing ideas, and building together toward a stronger global Bitcoin education movement.

Hello everyone,

my name is Mattia, from Italy.

I always like to be concise, because I believe the essential can always be summed up in a few words. With studying bitcoin, this isn’t true, because I’ve found myself having to study it multiple times, and each time I find myself understanding new nuances.

I’d say it has had and is having a virtuous effect, both on my reasoning and on my relationships with others. If I hoped to be remembered for something in this life, I’d like to be remembered for sharing my knowledge of bitcoin with others, unlocking their personal journey just as I’ve embarked on mine.

If individuals shape societies, then virtuous people will lead to virtuous societies. I believe it’s never too late to spark change, and I’d like to dedicate part of my free time to this mission.

Thank you,
Mattia

Hello all! I’m Sylvia, author of Bitcoin, Hands-On: 28 “learn-by-doing” exercises to master the basics of managing your own Bitcoin, including wallets, transactions, and self custody.

There’s no theory or history of Bitcoin (other resources are better for that).

Instead it’s all about simple steps to learn how to use tiny, zero-risk amounts of real bitcoin. There are exercises on creating wallets, receiving and sending, recovering wallets, etc. And through this practice, students gain knowledge and confidence in actually using bitcoin.

I’d be interested in collaborating with anyone who could use this material for teaching, and especially anyone that could provide feedback and review foreign language editions (Spanish, etc) that I’m planning.

For a free PDF of the book, or just to connect, contact me at Feedback@BitcoinHandsOn.com.

Hello everybody!

My name is Juana Melendez. I am from El Salvador and have been living in Ireland for the past 10 years.

I work in Content Analysis for Tech companies, and I am also a Workshop Facilitator, which I am truly passionate about, especially when collaborating with organizations that give me a sense of purpose through sharing knowledge and supporting people in their personal and professional development.
I have been interested in Bitcoin since 2021, often sharing and discussing it with family, friends, and colleagues. By the end of last year, I discovered My First Bitcoin, and I am very happy and grateful to be part of this community.

I am currently preparing my first Bitcoin workshops: one for Latina Women Against Violence (a non-profit organization) and another for a group of work colleagues. Both are planned for the end of April, one in person and the other likely online (in Spanish, and eventually in English).
As this will be my first time delivering a Bitcoin workshop, I would really appreciate any guidance or suggestions. My plan is to start with an introduction to Bitcoin and then continue with those interested in doing the Bitcoin Diploma.

If you are in Ireland or nearby, please do not hesitate to reach out, I would be very happy to connect and meet you.

Thank you in advance for any support or insights you can share.

I’m really looking forward to learning, contributing, and connecting with all of you!

Best wishes,
Juana

Hi Everyone!

Mi Tierra Digital is a Colombian public benefit and collective interest organization that designs, develops, and implements decentralized technological solutions based on Bitcoin infrastructure and education, with a territorial, social, environmental, and collective impact approach.

We were founded with the conviction that technology should not be imposed from the outside, but co-created with local territories, respecting their realities, rhythms, knowledge, and forms of organization. For this reason, we work hand in hand with communities, social organizations, grassroots economies, businesses, and public institutions to strengthen economic and digital sovereignty, especially in regions that have historically been excluded.
