9. Finding an educational setting for your classes

Finding a stable educational setting for your classes is crucial to your success as an education project. It will ensure your students can learn in the best conditions possible.

Your classroom can either be physical or virtual. Each has its benefits and trade-offs. Let’s explore some of them:

Physical classroom:

  • Benefits: direct connection with your students, makes the learning experience easier, participates in the creation of a local community

  • Trade-offs: not always easy to find, can be costly, limited reach

Virtual classroom:

  • Benefits: free, allows for immense reach, no need to commute to the classroom

  • Trade-offs: less connection with the students, requires a very good internet connection, less engagement

What we found throughout the Node Network is that you don’t have to choose between physical and virtual. You can start with one and switch to the other, or even do both at the same time!

We detail everything you need to know to quickly find a physical classroom and/or set up a digital one here.

Google Classroom:
If you feel like finding a physical classroom might be difficult in the beginning, we encourage you to get started with Google Classroom. It is a free tool that allows you to organize your classes, upload documents and presentations, schedule meetings and stay connected with your students.

To learn more about Google Classroom, watch this video. It will show you how it works and how you can easily set one up for your project.

Learning Management System:
We also offer access to a Learning Management System (LMS). You can click around here so see what it looks like.

  • An LMS (Learning Management System) is a software platform that allows educators and learners to create, manage, and deliver online learning programs effectively.

  • How is MPB using an LMS? Content distribution and to provide educators with digital tools that enhance their teaching and extend their reach. The platform enables the ability to deliver engaging content, track student progress and offer Bitcoin education to learners worldwide.

  • Current Roles Available:

    • Student: Can enroll in courses and track their individual progress.
    • Instructor: Can manage a classroom of students and courses, and create homepages for individual courses.
  • Who should use the MPB LMS right now?

    • If you’re currently using Google Classroom or are looking for a more robust system to distribute engaging content, track student progress and engagement. It’s especially useful for nodes teaching the Bitcoin Diploma or for educators running their own courses. We can set up multiple courses for you as an instructor.
  • Learning Curve: The LMS is more complex than Google Classroom and requires more effort to maintain and manage a classroom. However, it offers far greater flexibility and control over course content and student tracking.

If you’re interested in setting up a virtual classroom with Google Classroom or the LMS, reach out to jy@miprimerbitcoin.io and we’ll set one up for you with the Bitcoin Diploma preloaded.

Simply indicate the name of your project, and the language in which you would like the Diploma (English or Spanish.)
