4. Learn from the Node Network

The Node Network is a network of established Bitcoin education projects who seek to learn from each other and share best practices to speed up the timeline of Bitcoin adoption throughout the world.

The communities who are part of the network, the Nodes, commit to respecting the rules of the network, which are centered around providing an education that is independent, impartial, community-led, open-source, and that teaches empowerment over profit.

The nodes are in charge of the network’s governance. Already existing nodes decide via a vote which applications are worthy of entering the network, and which ones should show more Proof of Work before entering. They are also responsible for ensuring that everyone respects the consensus rules.

Learn more about the Node Network here. The network consists of dozens of Light Nodes (educators that are focussing on education) and a handful of Full Nodes (projects that also focus on governance and building and maintaining the network).

The education projects who are part of the Node Network are already well advanced in their education journey and have good experience with educating their peers about Bitcoin. They have been where you are right now, and have a lot to share to help you start and grow your own Bitcoin community.

This is why we created the Mentorship Program, whose goal is to connect established projects with new educators in the space.

By joining the Mentorship Program, one of the existing nodes will become your mentor and will guide you through all the steps you need to take to start your bitcoin education project and later join the Node Network.

This personal guidance from experienced educators will tremendously help you grow and achieve your full potential as an education project. To show interest in the Mentorship Program, click here.

You can also ask all your questions in the community forums and you will receive answers from the community, including the Node Network.
