Now that you have everything up and running with the environment for your classes and meetups, the next step is to prepare for your first Bitcoin Diploma!
The Bitcoin Diploma is typically delivered in 10 sessions, once a week. Each session lasts around 90 minutes and focuses on one chapter. In 90 minutes you should have enough time to present the concepts, organize activities with your students and answer their questions.
The Educators Lesson Plan is a great resource to help you prepare and structure your classes.
To prepare your first Bitcoin Diploma, you will need to answer these questions:
1. How will you present and deliver the contents of the Bitcoin Diploma workbook?
If you teach in a physical classroom and can bear the costs, the best solution is to print the workbook at a local printing shop.
If that is not possible, you can use a screen or a projector to display the workbook in a presentation format. We have created dedicated slides for all the chapters. Download the PowerPoint file here.
Bitcoin Ubuntu (part of the Node Network) has also created high quality slides and shared them for free. You can download them here, and don’t forget to thank them!
2. How will you enroll your students and communicate with them?
The easiest way is to use Google Classroom. It will allow you to share an invite with your potential students on social media and at events, so that they can register and enroll to your class.
We created a guide that will walk you through all the options you have for preparing your first Bitcoin Diploma. You will find it here.
Once you have everything ready, it’s time to give your first class! You got this!
