Here at Mi Primer Bitcoin, we believe that Bitcoin education will change the world. But not any kind of education:
Independent, impartial, community-led education that empowers individuals and communities to have more agency in their lives.
We first focused on El Salvador, where we started educating students and teachers about Bitcoin in 2021. To do so, we’ve created our own educational materials. Ones that respect our values and ensure anyone can replicate our success.
The broader scope of our mission is to empower Bitcoin educators and students all around the world by providing them with Free and Open Source educational and organizational resources.
We pursue this objective via this open community and the Node Network:
The My First Bitcoin community is a place where anyone can find all the resources they need to learn about Bitcoin education and start teaching and empowering their peers. You may be one of these individuals: we welcome you to join the movement, initially as an individual who starts to educate about Bitcoin, and eventually possible as one of the members of the Node Network.
The Node Network is a self-governing network of Bitcoin education projects and educators who are on the same mission: providing Bitcoin education independently of any strings attached.
The purpose of this community is to arm Bitcoin educators with the tools to provide the highest quality Bitcoin education as they can, and further down the line integrate the Node Network.
We’re all on the same mission: sharing knowledge about Bitcoin so that everyone can become more free and self-sovereign.
We refuse any sponsorship or funding from actors who will have us compromise our impartiality. We are proudly funded by the community.
