Introduce yourself! šŸ‘‹

Hi everyone! I’m excited to introduce myself!

My name is Paul Simatende, and I’m honored to be part of the Mi Primer Bitcoin Light Node community.

I’m currently helping to launch and teach our first Mi Primer Bitcoin course in Zambia, hosted through Bitcoin Campus Zambia.

:blue_book: A little about me:
I was first introduced to Bitcoin by my father back in 2017 while I was still in high school. That moment sparked a long journey of curiosity and discovery.

In 2020, I completed the Introduction to Digital Currencies course from the University of Nicosia, which laid my academic foundation in this space.

In 2024, I joined Bitcoin Victoria Falls, where I completed the Mi Primer Bitcoin course. That experience was truly life-changing and sparked a deep passion in me to help others understand Bitcoin the way I did.

:rocket: Fast forward to 2025, I launched my own local initiative Bitcoin Campus Zambia (@btc_campus_zm on X) to teach and guide students from my university and others in my community through the same transformative course.

:bullseye: My mission is simple:
To help onboard as many people as possible into the world of Bitcoin — in a way that’s accessible, practical, and community-driven.

I’m looking forward to connecting with fellow educators, learning from all of you, and contributing to this growing global movement.

Hi All! I am so stoked to join this global community of change makers. Thank you for everything you’re doing!

After years of navigating life with one foot in fiat world and the other in Bitcoin, I can’t wait to switch lanes and double down on advancing Bitcoin adoption & education. I have been a silent observer cheering from the sidelines for too long, and it’s time to step into the playing field. As much as I love seeing the big players entering the scene and the state adoption momentum, I feel like there’s a lot of work that needs to be done on the individual adoption level, so that more people can reap greater benefits down the road.

I have been searching for ways to spread the knowledge that helped me in so many ways. After a few minor successes and a lot of major failures at orange pilling, I have been looking for better ways to explain it, and I was so grateful to find the MFB team. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. My aspiration is to join the node network and expand it to multiple locations where I have strong ties in Canada, Romania and Kazakhstan.

I am currently based in Toronto, Canada.
